Film Response - Photographic Process Series

I found it very interesting how woodburytype is essentially a photomechanical process that creates a print by pressing a layer of gelatin onto paper in a mold. It is always very cool learning about different ways of creating photographs. The quality of the photographs were great which also added to why it was interesting.

We learned that the pigment process is a photographic printing technique that uses bichromated colloids, usually gelatin with potassium or ammonium bichromate, to create images when exposed to light. I always find it cool when we watch videos about the compounds and different substances used to create photographs.
